Meteorological Technology Word Expo, stand 3050, 24 – 26 September 2024 Vienna

Tecnavia will be attending at the Meteorological Technology World Expo 2024, the premier global event for meteorological and environmental monitoring technologies. This event attracts thousands of professionals from over 100 countries, including experts from meteorological services, environmental agencies, and weather-critical industries.

We are presenting our  last innovations and our project for Africa: Africa will receive MTG, PUMA-2025, and ClimSA stations, being deployed. In 2025 the current Meteosat satellite will be replaced by the MTG new generation satellite and the Eumetcast Africa service will be updated. Tecnavia on behalf of the African Union in collaboration with Eumetsat and JRC has developed stations that encompass both the Skyceiver software, for visualisation of the Meteorological Data (images, synops, and NWP data) ,and the ClimSA software to generate, process and analyse climatological data for multiple sectors, such as agriculture and food security, health, water, DRR, and energy.

The equipment delivered to 56 Meteorological services in the sub–Sahara African continent will act as web servers which is designed to ensure excellence in the collection, analysis and use of meteorological data, offering powerful tools and extensive customisation options. Users benefit from detailed weather and satellite data overviews through an intuitive interface. Also, from a maintenance point of view, the entire fully redundant system can be administered both locally and remotely via a simple graphical interface without any knowledge of Linux. An innovative multiple power source to the equipment will insure a longer lifespan throughout the next decade.
